I found that MSD makes a knock sensor that displays knock with lights and audibly with an adjustable sensitivity and volume control. In the Barnett performace catalog it is # MSD 8964 and sells for $139.95 (800-533-1320) I bought one and installed the knock sensor but I've yet to hook up the monitor (It's hard to run wires from the cockpit to the engine bay). Also, the thing looks pretty cheesy and I'm also having a hard time finding the appropriate place to mount it.

But I bet it doesn't retard per cylinder when it detects knock and comes with a motorola processor. Still pretty cool.

Does the M2 unit cost less than $35-40? And does it have a mountable speaker, that can be discretely hidden? If it does, than maybe I may not build this unit for the masses.

But I think for the price this unit is pretty good because it still enables you to use the J&S monitor as well. The production unit maybe in a tiny 1" X 2" enclosure, so it can be mounted anywhere and I'll put decals on it ....hehehehe.
